About This Indicator
This chart plots BTC's weekly closing price alongside a standard 14-period Money Flow Index computed on weekly bars. Real Binance weekly OHLC (BTCUSDT, back to 2017-08) is used where available; before that, high/low/close all collapse to the week's close price, since MFI only compares typical price between periods, never within one. Volume is on-chain transaction volume (USD), since this app does not track real exchange trading volume. The four cycle-phase markers (Top / First Low / Second Low / Bottom) are each found as the true local price extreme within a fixed historical date window — a marker is only ever placed once its window has fully elapsed against real recorded data; this chart never plots a projected or predicted future phase.

Data Sources
- Bitcoin weekly OHLC: Binance spot API (BTCUSDT, 1-week klines) from 2017-08 onward; close-only weekly bars (high=low=close) before that.
- Volume proxy: on-chain daily transaction volume (USD), summed per week — not real exchange trading volume.
- Calculation: standard 14-period Money Flow Index (typical price = (high+low+close)/3, weighted by volume, compared period-over-period).
